힉소스 (Hyksos)의 의미

요세푸스는 Against Apion에서 Hyksos의 이름이 "왕-목자" 혹은 "포로 목자들"이라는 의미이며 (특히, 81-83), 자신이 후자를 지지하는 이유를 사례로 들어 설명한다 (84ff).

전자는 목자-양 유비에서 목자-왕 전승으로 활용할 수 있으나, 후자는 효용 가치가 없다. 우선 내 연구 범위에서 제외한다.
